Breakaway Flattie Lead Weights
Introducing the Breakaway Flattie Lead Weights, your go-to solution for sea fishing over soft ground and mud flats! Available in 85g Flattie Lead and 150g Flattie Lead options, these weights are specifically designed to target flounder and other flatfish. Unlike conventional round leads, the Breakaway Flattie Leads feature a broad, flattened profile that prevents them from sinking too deep into soft mud. This unique design allows your bait to move gracefully across the seabed, enticing feeding fish instead of staying stuck in one spot. Plus, with Breakaway's Impact bait-release system, you can easily clip down your bait for casting and release it when the lead hits the water. Another fantastic feature is its ability to plane upwards during retrieval, keeping your terminal tackle away from the seabed. Get ready to elevate your fishing game with Breakaway Flattie weights!

The Breakaway Flattie Lead is a specialist sea fishing weight designed for fishing over soft ground and mud flats, particularly when targeting flounder and other flatfish.
Unlike a conventional round lead, the Flattie's broad, flattened profile helps prevent it from disappearing deeply into soft mud. In a gentle tide it can move slowly across the seabed, allowing your bait to search out feeding fish rather than remaining fixed in one position.
The Flattie also incorporates Breakaway's Impact bait-release system, allowing the bait to be clipped down for casting before releasing when the lead hits the water.
Another useful feature is its ability to plane upwards during retrieval, helping bring the terminal tackle away from the seabed.
