Okuma Flite Surf FLS35-1500AY Long Cast Fixed Spool Reel
A fixed spool reel designed to be of a lightweight construction but have tremendous power. The reel s light C-40X carbon frame is paired with an ultralight spool for ergonomic use and within the frame lies an 18 kg drag system of pure fish-stopping power. Designed for casting to the surf, the long-stroke spool allows the line to easily shoot off during the cast while the one-piece bail and super-slow oscillation reduce friction.
The Okuma Flite Surf FLS35-1500AY is a premium lightweight long-cast fixed spool reel designed for serious beach and shore fishing. Built around Okuma's lightweight C-40X carbon frame, sideplates and rotor, the Flite Surf combines excellent casting performance with the strength and corrosion resistance required for regular saltwater use.
Its 35mm stroke and super-slow oscillation system produce controlled, even line lay to help line leave the spool cleanly during long casts. A lightweight long-cast spool, one-piece bail and DLC-coated Even Flow line roller further reduce friction where it matters.
Despite weighing just 472g, the Flite Surf provides a powerful 18kg maximum drag, while the 9HPB + 1RB corrosion-resistant bearing system and Okuma Flite Drive deliver smooth, stable operation.
One of the particularly useful features of this model is its versatility. The FLS35-1500AY is supplied with two additional spools — an 8000-size aluminium spool and 3000-size POM spool — allowing different lines and fishing situations to be covered without carrying another reel.
